We are looking for volunteers to help at the Watford Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd February 2020.

If you could find a couple of hours or more between 8.30 and 13.30 to assist on any of the following –  registration desk, baggage drop, T-shirts, medals, you will be part of a team so no problems if you haven’t helped before.

You will be very welcome to join us for lunch and a couple of drinks afterwards at West Herts and will receive a T-shirt and the option of a free entry to the Berkhamsted 5m or Half Marathon.

Please email Richard Parles at half@watfordharriers.org.uk if you can offer some of your time.

Thank you!

Challenge yourself this February and take on 13.1 miles for Peace Hospice Care.

Why not take on one of Watford’s most iconic sporting events and raise funds for Peace Hospice Care at the same time? This well established race has been going for over 50 years and has an interesting, undulating course. The race is on traffic free roads and promises to be one you won’t forget.

The Watford Harriers have been extremely generous yet again and have chosen us as their charity helping raise much needed funds for people with life-limiting illnesses. So to share their generosity, for each person who raises over £30 in sponsorship we will enter their names into a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to our inaugural ‘Grit and Glory’ event on March 1st 2020 in Lees Wood, Watford. There will be five pairs of tickets up for grabs!

If you haven’t signed up yet and would like to take on 13.1 miles for Peace Hospice Care on 2nd February 2020, visit the Watford Harriers website and book your place today! https://watfordharriers.org.uk/watford-half

Watford Half Marathon 2019 Cancelled

Sorry but in the interest of competitors and officials safety we have had to make the decision to cancel the race, there are still considerable sections of the course with compacted snow/ice and/or water and with the temperature due to drop to -6 this evening and not getting above freezing until after the race has started I’m sure you will understand that we had little option.
