At the weekend 3 Watford Harriers athletes competed in the England Athletics National Indoor championships in Sheffield. Toby Ogunkanmi competed in the Under 20 men’s 60m. He progressed through the heats and semi final registering a new PB of 6.87 (and club record) in the semi. Unfortunately in the final he was disqualified for a false start. In the under 17 women’s 60m, Chrissy Murray made it through the heat to the semi final with a run of 8.06 which equalled her PB. In the under 15 girls 60m hurdles Scarlett Gammell equalled her PB of 9.26 in the heat, ran a new PB (and club record) of 9.20 in the semi final and ran 9.24 in the final where she came 7th.
This was a fantastic achievement by these athletes competing against the best junior athletes in the country.
